These terms cover the use of stitchzoo.com. Using the site means you accept them. They are meant to be readable, so they are kept short.

The site is free

Everything here is free to use. There is no account, no subscription and no paywall. We may add, change or remove pages, patterns and features at any time, and a pattern that is here today may be revised or withdrawn later, so download the PDF if you want to keep it.

No warranty

The site, the patterns and the Pattern Maker are provided as they are, with no warranty of any kind. We try hard to make every chart correct and every count accurate, but we cannot promise that a page is free of errors, that the site will always be available, or that a chart will suit a particular fabric, bead brand or project. Check a chart before you commit expensive materials to it. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from using this site, including wasted materials or time. If you do find a mistake in a pattern, please tell us and it will be fixed.

What you may do with the patterns

The licence for the patterns, charts, PDFs and preview images is set out in full on the license page. That page, not this one, is what governs printing, teaching, selling finished items and redistribution.

Acceptable use

• Do not scrape or bulk download the library. Browsing, printing and saving the patterns you actually want is fine. Automated harvesting of the whole catalogue is not.
• Do not hammer the Pattern Maker with automated requests. It is a free tool sharing one server with everybody else, and heavy automated use gets blocked.
• Do not upload illegal material to the Pattern Maker, including anything that is unlawful to possess or distribute. You also need the right to convert the image you upload, as explained on the license page.
• Do not attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or the server behind it.

Access may be blocked where any of the above happens, without notice.

Links to other sites

Where a page links out, that link is there because it was useful at the time. It is not an endorsement, and we have no control over what those sites publish, sell or do with your data. Their terms and their privacy policies apply once you leave here.

What the site does with data, including what happens to an image you convert, is described on the privacy policy.
